Adult daily protein requirement

  • It is important to consume an appropriate amount of protein
  • The daily protein requirement for a typical adult is 0.8 to 1 g per kg of body weight.
  • Even when training muscles, consuming 1.2 to 2 g per kg of body weight is sufficient.
  • Recommended daily protein intake according to the Korean Society of Nutrition: 50-55g for adult men, 45-50g for adult women.
  • It is best to split the daily protein intake into each meal.
